Animal Care
Our animals are raised as naturally as possible. We believe that we are merely caretakers of what God has intrusted to us, this includes the animals we raise.
Goats Our Alpine Dairy goats have unlimited access to fresh water, alfalfa pellets, minerals and shelter. They are pastured daily with rotational grazing. On the milk stand they recieve a mixture of organic oats, organic corn and a natural dairy ration.
Honey Bees The bees are never treated with antibiotics or other chemicals. Although we take natural preventative measures that include the use of plant Essential Oils, screen bottom boards and frequent monitering, we are opposed to using conventional chemical treatments in our hives. We also only take surplus honey from the bee hives, insuring first that each hive has enough honey to overwinter before taking any ourselves.
